Cable Kneeling Overhead Triceps Extension

Description

Preparation

  • Attach a flat bar to a high pulley machine
  • Grasp the bar with an overhand shoulder width or narrower grip
  • Place a flat bench approx. 1.5 – 2m out from the machine
  • Kneel down between machine.
  • Lean forward so back is almost flat
  • Place elbows on the seat. The upper arms should be parallel to floor

Action

  • Extend forearms forward until elbows are fully extended
  • Keep the torso stationary and the shoulder flexed

Return

  • Allow the weights to pull the attachment back to the starting position
  • A stretch may be felt in the triceps
