Cable Overhead bent over triceps extension

Description

Preparation

  • Attach a flat bar to a high or head height pulley machine
  • Grasp the bar with an overhand shoulder width or narrower grip
  • Stand facing away from equipment.
  • Take a large stride forward and bend at the waist (torso at 45°)
  • The shoulders should be fully flexed with bar overhead
  • A stretch may be felt in the triceps

Action

  • Keep upper arms and elbows parallel
  • Extend elbows until joints are fully extended
  • Keep the torso stationary

Return

  • Allow the weights to pull the bar back to the starting position
