Cable Squat

Description

Preparation

  • Attach a flat bar to a low pulley machine
  • Place a BT86platform close to the machine
  • Stand close to and facing the machine
  • Grasp the bar with an overhand grip shoulder width grip
  • Squat down so that your shoulders are in vertical alignment with ankles
  • Keep the head up and chest forward and lifted

Action

  • Whilst extending the knees and hips keep the bar close to the legs
  • Keep the arms and back straight as you lift
  • Stop when the legs are straight and your weight evenly distributed across the foot

Return

  • Allow the weights to pull the bar back to the start position
