Cable Upright Row (Stirrups)

Description

Preparation

  • Attach a pair of dumbell grips/rope attachment to a low pulley machine
  • Stand close to and facing the facing
  • Grasp the attachments with palm facing body
  • Straighten the arms down to the thighs
  • The elbows should be pointing out to the sides

Action

  • As you lift, keep both forearm and upper arm in line with the body (lead with elbows)
  • As you lift the stirrups keep them horizontal by allow wrist to flex (adduct)
  • Keep the hands close to the body

Return

  • Allow the weights to pull the hands back to the start position
