Smiths Machine Bent Over Posterior Deltoid Row

Description

Preparation

  • Grasp the bar underhand, slightly wider than shoulder width
  • Bend the knees and leen forward to approx 30° from horizontal

Action

  • Pull the bar up to the upper chest
  • Keep upper arms perpendicular to the torso with elbow pointing out to sides
  • If the elbows are not wide the latissimus dorsi will dominate the exercise
  • With the bar at your chest upper arms should be just past horizontal
  • You should feel the shoulder blades come together slightly

Return

  • Keep the torso and back fixed as you lower the bar
