Smiths Machine One Arm Bent Over Row

Description

Preparation

 

  • Stand side on to a Smiths Machine bar
  • Bend over and place the hand furthest from the bar on your knee
  • Grasp the bar with opposite arm, with palm facing towards torso
  • The hand should hang directly below shoulder
  • The waist should not be twisted

 

Action

  • Keeping elbow close to side, pull the bar up to waist height
  • The upper arm should be just past horizontal
  • Do not move the shoulder height
  • Do not allow torso to twist

Return

  • Lower the bar until the arm is extended
